RCMP investigate two-vehicle collision in St. John's that killed 40-year-old man

ST. JOHN'S - Police in Newfoundland and Labrador say they are investigating a collision in St. John's that left a 40-year-old man dead.

They say officers responded to reports of a "serious" collision on Pitts Memorial Drive, just East of Robert E. Howlett Memorial Drive, around 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

They say officers determined that the collision happened between a Dodge Charger and a Suzuki motorcycle.

Police say the motorcycle driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

They say he was pronounced dead a short time later.

RCMP is asking anyone with any information or dashcam footage to come forward.
