NEW YORK (AP) — Potential jurors in the trial of a white U.S. Marine Corps veteran charged with killing a troubled Black man on a subway train began answering questions about their backgrounds — including their own experiences on New York's subways.

No one has yet been chosen for what will be an anonymous Manhattan jury in the manslaughter case against Daniel Penny. After to excuse people who couldn't serve because of work or family duties, questioning meant to get at any potential biases or conflicts of interest has only just begun.
