TikTok videos with nearly two million combined views claimed to show Diana Fox Carney, wife of Prime Minister Mark Carney, saying her husband wants to "make Canada poor" during a speech on election night. This claim is false. The claimants misheard Fox Carney when she spoke the words "un Canada fort," the French version of the prime minister's campaign slogan "Canada strong."
